Mexico march on
Croatia fell apart as Mexico hit 3 in 10 minutes to progress from their group. Herrera smacked the angle of the crossbar from 25 yards in the 16th minute and in the 65th minute Corluka headed off his line after Pletikosa failed to deal with an in swinging corner, but in the 72nd minute Mexico broke the deadlock when Rafael Marquez headed a corner down past Pletikosa. Three minutes later Peralta laid the ball on for Andres Guardado to sidefoot high into the net.
