England late home delivery

England 2 Ukraine 1 (Wembley 1 April 2009)
England needed a late goal to derail Ukraine and make it five wins out of five in their World Cup qualifying group. The English were rewarded for their possession in the 29th minute when Terry headed on a corner for Peter Crouch to volley the ball into the net from inside the 6 yard box. A Ukrainian free-kick floated into the box, came off the chest of Johnson and fell to substitute Shevchenko who lashed in the equaliser, but with 5 minutes remaining Beckham delivered a free-kick which Gerrard nodded back across goal for John Terry to turn in and give England victory in front of their jubilant home crowd.
