Cole brace breaches Andorra defence

Andorra 0 England 2 (Barcelona 6 September 2008 )
England began their World Cup qualifying campaign with an expected win over Andorra. The Andorrans frustrated England in the first half, but the introduction of Joe Cole in the second half paid dividends 5 minutes into the half as Joleon Lescott flicked on a Lampard free-kick for Cole to smash England into the lead. Six minutes later Rooney found Cole who poked the ball past Koldo Alvarez in the Andorra goal to secure an easy but uninspiring win for England.
