England silence Welsh Dragons

Wales 0 England 2 (2012 Euro qualifier Millennium Stadium Cardiff)
Two England goals within the first 15 minutes decided the match and cut out the Cardiff cacophony. Frank Lampard sent Hennessey the wrong way from the penalty spot after only 6 minutes following a James Collins challenge on Ashley Young, and in the 15th minute a superb long pass from Glen Johnson released Young who crossed the ball into the 6 yard area for Bent to knock home. England enjoyed more possession in the first half but failed to put the match beyond their hosts who showed more ambition after the interval without seriously threatening to alter the outcome of the match.
