Zambia cancel Osman double

Ahmed Saad Osman scored twice for Libya but Zambia twice came from behind to earn a draw. Due to heavy rain the match was delayed for 75 minutes but the sparse crowd didn't have to wait long as Mhadeb threaded the ball through to Osman who slotted it past Mweene to give Libya the lead in the 4th minute. In the 27th minute Mayuka met a long ball in the air to side-foot it into the far corner for Zambia, but Libya retook the lead 3 minutes after the break when Osman picked the ball up in the just outside the 6 yard area, made space and knocked it in off the post. Libya's lead only lasted 5 minutes as Myuka's bicycle-kick found Katongo who nodded in the leveller from close range. (Zambia 2 Libya 2)

Kily kills off Senegal

Co hosts Equatorial Guinea became the first team to progress to the next round, with a winning goal right at the death that sent Senegal home in the process. After losing their first match, the Senegalese needed a positive result to stay in the competition and came close in the 15th minute when Cisse took the ball on his chest and lobbed Danilo who saved with his fingertips. Ba fired inches wide for Senegal in the 22nd minute, but in the 62nd minute Kily served a delicious cross on a plate for Randy to head in from close range. The visitors equalised when Sow pounced on a failed clearance to volley home in the 90th minute, but 4 minutes into stoppage time Kily (Alvarez) smashed the ball in from 25 yards to send the crowd into delirium and Senegal out of the competition. Doe emerged from the celebrations with a red card. (Equatorial Guinea 2 Senegal 1)
