In the 16th minute Drogba whipped in a low cross from the by-line for Kalou to fire home from just outside the 6 yard area and despite Burkina Faso testing Barry between the sticks and clipping the bar with a Dagano header in the 72nd minute it was action at the wrong end that sealed the match when Bakary Kone headed a long ball back over his keeper for an own goal 9 minutes from time.
