Cameroon comeback terminates Tunisia

Failure to hold their lead resulted in Tunisia going out of the competition as they picked up their 3rd draw in as many games. With less than a minute gone Chermiti flung himself between 2 defenders to head Tunisia into the lead. Tunisia who may consider themselves lucky, as their keeper Mathlouthi was only shown a yellow for handling the ball outside the area in the 30th minute, had a chance to double their lead on the stroke of half time but Mikari hit the side netting. A minute after the break Cameroon were on level terms after Idrissou flicked the ball into the path of Webo who pulled it back from the by-line for Eto'o to turn in. Cameroon gifted Tunisia a goal in the 63rd minute when Chedjou sent a looping header over his keeper for an own goal, but a minute later Nguemo fired in the equaliser from the edge of the area. Tunisia ended the match with 10 players as Jemal lost his cool at the prospect of elimination and was shown a 2nd yellow for pushing. (Cameroon 2 Tunisia 2)
