Goalless does it

The Boys go out with Senegal

Bafana Bafana share the points with Senegal as they both crash out of the tournament. South Africa opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Modise crossed the ball into the box for Elrio van Heerden to side-foot home on the volley. Zuma got a shot on target in the 22nd minute, but Coundoul got down to make the save for Senegal. Henri Camara won a ball in the box and passed it into the net for the Senegalese equaliser in the 37th minute. After some excellent exchanges Tshabalala sees his shot go just wide of the post in the 56th minute, and 6 minutes later Zuma came even closer with a shot from inside the box, but Coundoul made an outstanding reaction save. Sougou came on for Senegal and late on in the match and was only just off target with a flying header. Deep into the 7 minutes allowed for stoppages Tshabalala crosses the ball onto the post and South Africa go home without a win. (Senegal 1 South Africa 1)
