Ghana end on a high

Ghana came from behind with a flurry of late goals to win bronze on home soil. Kalou got past the defence in the 4th minute, but failed to convert his chance for the Elephants who went behind 6 minutes later when a Muntari free-kick flew past the keeper into the top corner. Ivory Coast were level in the 24th minute when Boubacar Sanogo ran onto a through ball and placed his shot past Kingson in the Ghana goal. Two minutes later at the other end Tiassa Kone made a diving save to keep out a header from Addo, but not to be outdone, Kingson made a double save to deny Kalou and Drogba in the 30th minute. Drogba forced another save from Kingson a minute later, but this time Sanogo turned in the rebound. Ivory Coast almost scored a third in the 38th minute when Drogba got into the box and passed the ball to Sanogo who dinked the keeper but hit the bar. With 20 minutes left, Quincy Owusu-Abeiye went on a fantastic run and slotted the ball past the keeper to bring the teams level. After some quick exchanges in the 80th minute Junior Agogo got behind the defence and put the ball past Tiassa Kone, and 5 minutes later Draman sealed victory for the hosts when his shot from outside the area bounced past the keeper for the forth. (Ghana 4 Ivory Coast 2)
